This dataset contains results for modules A1, A2 and A3 according to DIN EN 15804. A comparison or evaluation of EPD data is only possible if all the datasets are created to be compared to EN 15804 and the product-specific features are considered.01 m² ETICS anchor with usable length 121-140 mmThe data set represents the ETICS anchors products of the company fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG, in Waldachtal focusing on the main technologies and the legislative boundary conditions. The insulation systems of the company fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG are made of different plastics and steel. The anchors differ among other things in their specific usable length. This data set is applied on an average anchor with specific usable length. For the averaging, the insulation anchors of the following product range have been considered. The following system-oriented and not system-oriented insulation anchors (product name) are preferably used in ETICS facades (external thermal insulation composite systems):
• Termoz 8U, 8UZ, 8N, 8NZ, CN, PN, SV with accessories
• Termofix PN, CF, 6 H, B
• ETICS impact anchor Capatect 041
• Additional plate DT 90, DT 110, DT 140
• K FIF, FIF S, DIPK
The following insulation anchors are preferably used in VHF facades (rear ventilated facades):
• DHK
• DEM, DTM
The average anchors used for ETICS have the following usable lengths:
• 75-120 mm
• 121-140 mm
• 141-160 mm
The fischer anchors with a usable length of more than 160 mm are covered in the EPD ETICS anchors of the trade association thermal insulation systems.
Manufacturing process
Plastic anchors: The plastic anchors consist of an anchor sleeve made of plastic and a spread element of steel or plastic. The anchor sleeves are produced by conventional injection molding techniques of the company fischerwerke. The injection molding is a forming process which is mainly used in plastics processing at which there is an injection molding machine for each plastic. The cavity or the hollow of the mold determines the shape and the surface structure of the finished anchor.
Screws: The company fischerwerke applies the screws for ETICS anchor exclusively from component suppliers: The vast majority of screws and connecting elements are made of chipless cold forming: the cold extrusion process. The raw material is delivered as a "wire" of coils to wound up and to decoil in the presses up-stream systems, directed and possibly tapered to the desired diameter. The modern extrusion presses work in multiple-stages which means that per stroke several operations are chained one after the other, for example screw head preform, compress, debur and therefore reduce the screwed portion. In the following process the threads are rolled by thread rolling machines with flat dies or rolling and segment tools on the reduced threaded parts without cutting. It is preferable to use cold extrusion with integrated thread rolling machine.
Mounting: The combination of the plastic anchors and screws as well as the packaging and palletizing is mostly fully automated using automatic assembly machines.
LCA results
The LCA results include the life cycle stages of the production of primary products, mining, processing operations and input secondary materials (eg recycling processes), their transport to the factory and the production itself, including the provision of all supplies and materials, energy, and the complete waste treatment or landfilling of residual waste during the production stage. The modules A1, A2 and A3, are shown here as aggregate modules A1-A3. If these data were calculated for other modules, you will find them separately and a consideration of the entire life cycle can be merged.

The ETICS anchors in this study are produced at 2 locations. At the sites there are also other products produced, therefore the energy and material inputs were measured separately for each product.Through this specific measurement and by neglecting the energy requirements for the building and the resulting household waste, the allocation is avoided.
BACKGROUND system: The packaging is burned in an incinerator. Expenses resulting from the combustion are offset in the module A5. Credits will be declared in the module D. There is no allocation process for reuse, recycling and recovery.nonenoneAll the data obtained from the data collection for the inputs and outputs have been considered, for example all raw materials used according to their composition as well as the electricity is included in the balance. The modeling of transport is based on the primary data of the manufacturer. The auxiliary and raw materials used for the processing and finishing were not taken into account.Nevertheless, it can be assumed that the neglected processes have contributed less than 5% to the considered effect categories. The preparation for the production of the considered product required machinery, equipment and other infrastructure which were not taken into account in the LCA. Since the energy requirements for the heating of the building have not been considered, no credits were taken for the process heat used.noneThe primary data were provided by the company fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG. The background data were taken from the database of the GaBi software from Sphera Solutions GmbH (GaBi 5, 2011).The electricity mix of Germany and Czech were used.noneAll relevant background data for the preparation of the database of the software GaBi 5 were taken or provided by the company fischerwerke. The last revision of the background data used is less than 4 years old (except for the corrugated cardboard). Within the production data, the current industry data of the company fischerwerke come from the year 2010.noneGaBi databaseshttp://www.ihs.com/products/chemical/technology/pep/reviews/succinic-acid.aspx100.0This dataset contains results for the aggregated modules A1-A3 according to DIN EN 15804.No statementCML2001 - Apr. 2013, Freshwater Aquatic Ecotoxicity Pot.
